About The Winery

Sunrise Vineyards is a small winery on Highland Valley Road in Ramona, on the west side of the Ramona Valley AVA. The winery makes every wine it sells, and all of its fruit is grown either on the property or in vineyards within about a mile and a half of the winery. That is unusual even for Ramona, and it means a tasting here is a clear read on what this corner of the valley tastes like.

What to expect: an estate-focused lineup poured on weekend afternoons in a quiet, rural setting. Because the wines are made in small lots from local fruit, what is open changes from visit to visit. Ask what just came out of barrel.

Nearby: Sunrise shares Highland Valley Road with Three Hills Winery, and Cordiano Winery and Mia Marie Vineyards are just down the road toward Escondido, so it fits naturally into a Highland Valley afternoon. See our Ramona Valley wine trail guide and the Wine Tasting Day Trip Builder.
