San Diego's oldest urban winery — founded in 1993 and named after the Witch Creek area near Julian where first grapes were sourced. Six consecutive years winning Gold and Silver Medals at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (world's largest American wine competition with 5,500+ entries). Witch Creek specializes in rare and hard-to-find varietals including Nebbiolo, Teroldego, and Montepulciano. Winemaker Scotty holds a Certificate in Wine Technology from Mira Costa College. Note: The Carlsbad location is permanently closed. The Julian tasting room at 2000 Main Street remains open.
