About The Winery
Emerald Creek Winery is a 750-acre estate in the hills near Palomar Mountain, with its tasting room on Highway 79 in Warner Springs. Beyond its own label, Emerald Creek is a significant grower, supplying grapes and wine to more than 40 other wineries in the region, which makes it one of the larger vineyard operations in San Diego County.
What to expect: an estate lineup that includes Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Muscat Canelli, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Syrah, with tastings Friday through Sunday. The winery sells online and runs a wine club with member discounts. Because of the scale of the vineyard, this is a good stop if you like to see where the fruit comes from.
Nearby: Emerald Creek is the northernmost of the Warner Springs wineries, with La Serenissima and Hawk Watch Winery a short drive south on Highway 79. Keep going north and you reach Temecula. Plan the backcountry loop with our Wine Tasting Day Trip Builder.
