If there’s a bottle you’ve been eyeing that your local shop doesn’t stock (or stocks at full markup), this is the moment. Critic scores are listed on every bottle, so you’re not guessing.
One tip: sales like this rotate inventory fast. The well-scored bottles under $25 are usually the first to sell through, so sort by rating and don’t sit on it for a week.
The Local Deals Nobody Puts Online
Here’s the thing about San Diego wine deals: the best ones rarely show up in a Google search. They’re posted on a chalkboard, mentioned by your server, or buried in a winery’s wine club fine print. A few patterns we see over and over across the county:
Waived tasting fees with bottle purchase. This is practically standard at San Diego wineries, especially in Ramona Valley. Do the math — if you were going to buy a bottle anyway, your tasting was free.
