Carruth Cellars Wine Garden & Cheese Shop is the Liberty Station location of Carruth Cellars, San Diego's largest urban winery, set in one of the historic barracks buildings on Decatur Road. Owner and winemaker Adam Carruth started making wine in his backyard in 2001 and founded the winery in 2006. Grapes come from premium vineyards in Northern and Central California and Oregon's Willamette Valley and are made into wine at Carruth's Oceanside facility.

What to expect: a relaxed wine garden for a glass, a flight or a bottle, paired with cheese from the shop. It is a good fit for an afternoon at Liberty Station, which combines restored Navy buildings with galleries, restaurants and Liberty Public Market.
