Solterra Winery & Kitchen in Encinitas is a coastal winery and restaurant combining serious winemaking with a full kitchen program and regular live music on Highway 101 in Leucadia. Solterra offers an experience that goes well beyond a standard winery tasting — this is a destination for a full evening of wine, food, and entertainment in one of San Diego's most beloved beach communities.
Solterra is built for a full evening, not just a tasting. This Encinitas winery pairs serious winemaking with a complete kitchen and regular live music right on Coast Highway 101 in Leucadia, so plan to stay for dinner and a glass rather than a quick flight. The atmosphere is lively and coastal — expect a buzzing, restaurant-style energy, especially on weekend and music nights. Reservations are smart for dinner and larger groups, particularly on evenings with live entertainment. It’s an easy walk from the heart of Leucadia, with the beach close by, making it a natural anchor for a full day out. Come for a tasting in the afternoon or settle in for the evening program; either way, give yourself time. Street and nearby parking can fill up on busy nights, so arrive early or plan for a short walk.
