About The Winery

The Vineyard 1924, also known as The Vineyard at 1924, is a family-run vineyard on East Mission Road in Fallbrook that feels more like a laid-back outdoor hangout than a formal tasting room. The Carson family took over the 15-acre property in the 1960s; it grew olives and later avocados before the family switched to drought-friendlier grapevines and started making wine. The hilltop setting looks out toward Mount San Jacinto and is known for its sunsets.

What to expect: estate-grown wine and sangria served from an outdoor wine bar, plus live music, rotating food trucks and seasonal fun. In fall there is a pumpkin patch, and in December the property turns into a Christmas tree lot with hot cocoa and s'mores, which makes it one of the most family-friendly wine stops in the county. Groups of 10 or more can book a private tasting in the vineyard's Gypsy Wagon.

Nearby: Pair it with Estate D'Iacobelli or Adobe Hill Winery for a Fallbrook afternoon. Our Fallbrook wine guide covers the rest of the area, and the Wine Tasting Day Trip Builder will build the route for you.
