About The Winery
Turtle Rock Ridge Vineyard Winery is a family-run winery on Woods Hill Lane in Ramona, in the Ramona Valley AVA. Owners and winemakers Laurie Wagner and Ian Vaux make the wines themselves, and the tasting room sits among the vines in the hills east of town, which gives it the relaxed, back-country feel that draws people to Ramona in the first place.
What to expect: a lineup that runs from bigger reds to crisp whites, poured by people who made them. Weekend tastings are the norm, and the winery runs a free-to-join wine club with quarterly releases for regulars. The owners have also opened a second tasting room, an urban wine bar on Prospect Street in La Jolla, so you can taste their Ramona wines at the coast too.
Nearby: Turtle Rock Ridge is minutes from La Finquita Winery & Vineyard and Milagro Winery on the east side of Ramona. See our Ramona Valley wine trail guide for the best way to string them together, or map the day in the Wine Tasting Day Trip Builder.
